The Sacraments of the Church that call us ever closer to God, are as always, an outward sign of our Christianity instituted by Christ to give us grace and the inner knowledge to live our Christian faith fruitfully.
SACRAMENTS of INITIATION
BAPTISM of CHILDREN
Parents participate in pre-baptism sessions prior to the child's baptism. Please call Barb at the parish office to register. 330-722-1180
BAPTISM of ADULTS (RCIA)
If you or someone you know is interested in learning about the Church and the Catholic faith, contact a member of the Pastoral Staff.
This is a family centered program in which parents participate in the child's preparation. It is celebrated with the family after the child has completed sacramental preparation. This is offered during the second year of Faith Formation.
Celebrated every other year during high school years following two years of preparation.
SACRAMENTS of HEALING
RECONCILIATION / CONFESSION
Individual Confession is by appointment and also on announced days. Communal celebrations are scheduled throughout the year. Consult the bulletin or the parish website for dates and times.
ANOINTING of the SICK
The Anointing of the Sick is celebrated upon request. Please notify the pastoral team if anyone is sick or hospitalized. Anointing of the Sick is also celebrated at selected weekend liturgies twice a year.
SACRAMENTS of LOVING SERVICE
Members of our parish planning to be married at Our Lady Help of Christians should contact a member of the pastoral team at least six months prior to the wedding date. Also visit the US Bishops website on marriage: www.foryourmarriage.org for news, skills and Catholic theology on marriage and the family.
Contact a member of the pastoral team for information about the priesthood or deaconate. We will also provide information about vowed life for both women and men, and lay pastoral ministry opportunities.
